James and the Jewellery Store Make Triumphant Homecoming Return
Straight off the plane from London, James and the Jewellery Store will be performing two exclusive shows at Melbourne’s most intimate and eccentric venue, The Butterfly Club.
Twisting together dark folk, vaudeville and Cabaret, their songs feature a foreboding crew of chaste waifs and fallen strays, high society toffs and card-sharking cads.
Based in London, the band reference a myriad of literary classics from the Romantic poets to the dust bowls of 20th Century American Social Realism.
Praised by Kramer, producer of Daniel Johnston, Low and Urge Overkill as ‘Amazing’, and acclaimed as ‘The Sound of Sufjan Stephens on Burlesque’ by UK indie music website Holey Tonal, these shows are not to be missed.
